What you ARE, not what you WANT

Our world reflects our inner self, continuously attracting, creating, and designing conditions and events that are aligned with our subconscious thoughts, beliefs and expectations, regardless of what our superficial desire may be.

We all live life in the moment even though our minds may be ruminating over memories of past events or projecting wildly into the future of what could or may be.  Past and future exist only in the mind, as reality is physical, existing in form and substance, only in the present moment. We analyze our past, compare the experience to our feelings and determine what is needed to create awareness with better feeling conditions. These plans become our desires.

There is always the universal need for nutrition, shelter, security, and relationship, but each of us assigns varying components and levels to those needs. After which we load in our desires.

An American psychologist (Abraham Maslo 1908-1970) created the hierarchy of human needs. The lower need are Biological, then Safety & security, after that comes love, companionship and relationship followed by ego/esteem of respect, recognition and accomplishment, the highest level of self-actualization is to reach one’s highest potential.

We all have these emotional conditions always running on autopilot. As for the consciousness of these desires, we are only usually aware of the ones we focus upon.

There are many things we want, most of which are born of the lack of them and/or the fear of living without them. Some are reasonable, many are ego driven fear based and irrational desires. A good portion of what we long for, we know at our core we cannot manifest, yet we live quietly with disappointment and call it hope.

Most of our stress and anxiety is the result of our desire and reality being out of synch. Living with longing, regret and disappointment is painful. We research, plan, take actions and still find our dreams elude us. This leads to increasing lack of confidence, low self-esteem, and eventually fear which creates ill health as we spiral downward wondering why we are being punished.

Truth be told, this is all self-inflicted. There is no punishment being levied, no denial from God, or forces working against us.

Our inner subconscious thoughts and feelings related to those thoughts create the vibration that determines our state relative to each situation. Thoughts of fear and panic related to financial instability will keep us in a cycle of attracting more instability, while the feeling of gratitude about the abundance we DO enjoy will attract more reasons to be grateful. Likewise, Joy and elation over radiant health, tells our bodies to continue functioning flawlessly while concern and dread about failing conditions, send negative signals to our DNA that results in more of the same.

The prevailing contradictions are that we desire what we do because we lack those conditions, yet we experience the lack due to our own vibration and expectation. In short, regardless of our need or desire, no matter how strenuously we chase after an experience, we will never get any more than we are. Just as water always seeks its own level, so too do we. We get what we feel inside, not what we want consciously.

When we improve our state of being through mindfulness, gratitude, compassion, outreach and acceptance, two things happen: 1), many of our desires disappear, 2) those things we still desire to bring more value to our life will materialize with minimal effort and stress.

Change who & what you are to get what you think you want if you still want it.
