Life is as good as I make it

There is so much we experience in life. Some of it from afar, much of it up close and personal, and there’s also virtual experience and media.
A percentage of what we experience we realize was created at our hand while most of what we see in the world we would certainly never take a credit for.
Knowing that there is but one life,ONE all encompassing, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, eternal awareness that is the source, core, and creator of ALL THAT IS, we must realize that divine awareness has projected us, (individually and collectively) to create unlimited diversity and experience.
With this in mind, it is important to realize that all experience was created by the one, of which each of us are projections, or reflections of.
So as you look around today and see conditions that do not please you and others that you are extremely grateful for be aware that at some level you created it, I created it, we created it.
Some will claim life has no meaning other than to experience it. .
Others will in insist that there is inherent meaning in everything.
One condition gives rise to a reaction which causes another condition which intern necessitates more action and reaction and life unfolds exponentially.
What I am saying is it is not an accident. We each have had input somewhere along the line.
We are not victims of circumstance, we are creators of life.
OWN IT. BE INTENTIONAL.

Give it away to keep it

Peace Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

The last sentence in this famous prayer is the message that tells us the true path to joy in life.
Life is a dichotomy. In order “get” all the goodies in life we have to give them away.
Giving love is keeping love.
Serving humanity ensures we are fulfilled.
Being the source of anything for others keeps us showered in it.
What can you do for someone today?

I love ME.

Before we can have a passion, we need self love.
Before we can love others, we need to love ourselves.
Before we can forgive, we need to accept ourselves as we are and give ourselves a break.
Before we can make a difference in our world, we have to love and care for ourselves own needs and wellbeing.
Before we can grow spiritually, emotionally, economically and physically we need to care about our own needs.

We generally find it easier to love others than to love ourselves. We are most critical of our own appearance, actions, performance and productivity. There is always that inner voice saying we are not enough, need to do better, overweight or ugly. Before we are abuse in this life we need to dismiss this self debasement.
God is protecting divine creativity through us to add joyful experience to the collective of humanity. Without the greatest love for the Source of life at the core of our being, all endeavors are no more than meaningless noise.
Love fuels life and it begins within and shines outward.

I AM ENOUGH

I AM BEAUTIFUL JUST AS I AM.

What I CAN do.

“We cannot control the external events around us, but we can control our reactions to them.” – Epictetus

Blaming the struggles we encounter on conditions beyond our control is accepting powerlessness and adopting a victims attitude.
We design life through actions we CAN control. When a situation arises that was not the result of our intentional ACTION; our REACTION, regains control and takes ownership of the result.
Just as a batter has no control over the pitch, THE SWING, is his power.
Learning to recognize external happenings as the catalyst for our creative energy turns adversity into lessons and challenges into growth.
Knowing what we can’t control IS control.

Adulting

As a responsible, productive adult, there are many things that need to be done. Some of these tasks bring me joy to do. Others are difficult. Some things that need my attention are just boring and mundane, but need to be done nonetheless.
Then there are my hobbies, passions, and a plethora of things that bring me joy.
I have a choice, each and every day, in each moment of the day, to do whatever I like.
Unfortunately, most of the conditions that I find very pleasing are not undertakings that I am responsible to do. To provide for myself snd my family there are many many situations that need my attention. In order to offer something to society in exchange for making a living there are also things that need my time and energy that may not be very fun.
There are also health wellness and fitness undertakings that I know are good for me that is sometimes difficult and not very enjoyable.
The easiest choice is always to go with what brings most pleasure. However, if and when that is my choice, there was always a tremendous amount of guilt causing me stress and anxiety as I realize I am not taking care of my responsibilities for myself, for my family, for society and my income.
There’s also the knowledge that while doing the fun stuff, I am not growing and likely moving backwards with my personal development.
First and foremost it’s very easy to just stay in bed. We all know how that turns out.
Mark Twain was spot on right here when he said this.
I’ve come to understand that once responsibilities are all taken care of, and we carve out some time for enjoyment, we can truly enjoy it. There is more joy in knowing my security is ensured then there is in playing.
Being an adult has its rewards.

More of the same

If there was anxiety at the beginning of the week for the week ahead, we robbed ourselves of the joy we could have experienced.
Knowing that I am here to create and spread joyful experience, my talents and passions are the tools I was given to use, and the conditions I encounter
are the stage, I know that all is right with the world, and whatever happens will ultimately lead to joy.
There is never a reason for concern or consternation. Worry is a useless emotion. Confidence and faith of the cornerstones of joy.
The more joy we feel as we approach new conditions the easier it becomes to feel the joy created by them.
The more successes and positive outcomes we can identify and the longer we can think about the positive conditions of life, the more like conditions will manifest.

BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD.

WHAT WAS YOUR BEST EXPERIENCE THIS PAST WEEK?

Who’re ordered this????

We all have desires, wants, needs, goals, and intentions. Being intentional creators with an understanding of the law of attraction, we expect that our desires will manifest for us.
As I navigate my way to life and find myself exposed to a myriad of conditions that are unwanted by me some perhaps even repulsive. I can’t help but let them rent space in my head.
I noticed, judge, analyze, criticize, and perhaps hope and pray these conditions did not become part of my experience. As I have heard Wayne Dyer explain very amusingly one time in a speech of his, it is like walking into a supermarket and grabbing all the things off the shelf that you hate and have no use for and putting them into your shopping cart.
You arrive at the checkout and start ringing items up and wonder how did all of these things end up in my cart?
They may have been the very last things we want or intend to manifest, but if they were one of the first things we were focused upon and paid attention to, (attention is our currency, when we pay for something we usually get it, paying attention to a condition is no different) we grabbed then unknowingly.
Our attention is the most divine of currencies that we have. Paying attention, especially with emotion, is placing an order that comes with free shipping and immediate delivery.
So often I wonder why I’m strangled in conditions that repulse me until I realize how much focus and attention I put up on them .
when I focus on something strong enough, the universe, “God“, is assuming it’s something that I desire.
Intentional manifesting requires quality focus with awareness and accountability.
I’ll be very careful what I think about. If I don’t want it, I won’t think about it.
How much time do you spend thinking about things you do not want?

Pooh

There are holidays we love. We all have birthdays and anniversaries. You may have a launch date for your new business and of course there are deadlines and due dates.
Some of us remember special events or are looking forward to one. Big trip on such and such date.
ALL IMPORTANT DAYS. MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR SURE!
None are as important as today.
Nothing I do matters more in my life than what I do today, actually than what I’m doing now.
I can no longer experience what was in form and substance, it’s just a memory.
There is no way for me to experience, “later“ Now. As soon as I arrive at whatever moment I am now considering later, it will be now, and it will be today.
The only real value is a present moment.
The present moment, now, today, is the curtain call of life.
If I do not do my best today, I will not live my best life.
I LIVE TODAY, I REMEMBER YESTERDAY, I TAKE ACTIONS TODAY TO PLAN FOR THE FUTURE, BUT I TAKE ACTIONS TODAY.
TODAY IS THE BEST DAY. TODAY IS THE ONLY DAY.
Make it great.

It was me, not them! It was always me.

When I allow my emotions to change in reaction to judgments I make about behaviors, I not only compromise my mood, nervous system and health, I devolve to base behavior myself and undermine any growth I have achieved through enlightened exploration.
The irony is that I am seeing what my mind is creating all the time so it seems I have chosen to focus on behaviors that cause me discomfort.
“HOIST WITH THYNE OWN PETARD” 🤷‍♂️
This is when I reach for my forgiveness tool. There are so very many reasons that forgiveness is always about me and not THEM as so many believe.
🛑 DO NOT GET CAUGHT UP IN ALLOWING “THEM” TO DERAIL YOU!
Forgive and forget.
Live and let.
Let go to be free !

What can you forgive today to bring you a spec more peace?

It’s gonna come out!

The world and all its components is neutral. Just like a rock, there is no emotion, meaning or intent inherent in anything we encounter until we assign it meaning.
Like the concept of squeezing an orange and only getting orange juice, what comes out of us is a projection of what we harbor within.
This reminds me of the Zen “Empty Boat” story:

A monk wishing to meditate away from others takes a boat and goes to the middle of a lake. He closes his eyes and begins to meditate. After a few hours of uninterrupted silence, he suddenly feels and hears a bumping of another boat hitting his.

He keeps on with his practice, with his eyes still closed, slightly disturbed though by the interruption of silence. He then feels the bump again. Now his thoughts rise and an irritation stirs within him. His anger rises to the point that he cannot contain it any longer. He is ready to shout at the boatman “who dares to disturb my meditation!”

However, when he opened his eyes, all that he sees is an empty boat, just floating in the middle of the lake… At that moment, the monk achieves self-realization and understands that anger is within him; it simply needs to hit an external object to provoke it.

WHAT ARE YOU HOLDING ON TO?
Is the world a miserable place?
Do you see the Garden of Eden?
