DO IT! Or don’t.

There are many people these days that are under the impression that people, groups, agencies, governments, employers or family are supposed to ensure that their needs are met, bellies full, they are not insulted or offended, and they have easy lives!
WHERE AND WHEN DID THAT MEMO GO OUT? I must have missed it. Need to strat reading messenger more often I guess.
Here’s a bit of disappointing news!
FAKE NEWS!!
There is not another person, being, entity, or organization that has the responsibility of YOU!
No one is coming to save you. No big check is in the mail. Weight not suddenly dropping off. Broken shit around the house won’t HEAL. The trash you threw out of your moving car not crawling to the garbage can. Boss not giving promotions or raises to underperformers. Employers not calling people to come work for them. Opposing views don’t care how you feel.
Keep screaming for all this and you just get sicker, poorer, fatter and more angry.
NO JOY THERE.
Sure, family cares about and may want to see you do better, but they have to live their own lives. Yes there are agencies to help those with genuine need, but there must be rational reason for the inability to care for one’s self.
Here is the GREAT NEWS!!!!!
We all come into this life with the same potential. Opportunity is available to those that seek it, recognize it, and take advantage. Each person on this planet can be as rich as the richest, as fit as the fittest, as healthy as the healthiest, as well loved as the most considerate, selfless being there is and as popular as the most famous.
No holes are barred. You can do it.
THE BEST NEWS! When you DO take responsibility for yourself, and your actions and all results, the satisfaction and esteem you feel adds to your achievements and elevated your joy to the point of sublime.
ONLY YOU CAN DO FOR YOU.
Or Not. Your choice.
DO IT, or live a life of perpetual indignation waiting for service.

Enjoy the ride!

Life is a journey. This trip is about growth, discovery, adventure, wonder, awe and experience.
Never was there a target, a destination or a goal expected. Living a full life with positive encounters. Mindfulness and appreciation, gratitude and enjoyment are the components of a fulfilling life.
Yet millions are filled with stress and anxiety over where they are and where they think they should be.
The need for a destination, end result, target or specific condition will keep us in perpetual state of “Wanting” never being fulfilled and thus missing the joy of life altogether.
I get impatient waiting in the grocery checkout line. I can’t fathom how frustrating a life of eternal waiting must be.
Just an FYI: You’re living now! This is it! This is life. You have arrived.
Accept it, appreciate it, immerse yourself in it.
Enjoy the ride, it will be over before you know it.

Share without Care

I’ve heard it said “You have to give it away to keep it”!
The intangibles such as joy, love, peace, compassion, acceptance and care all require distribution in order to experience the benefit.
The same applies to success, knowledge, financial abundance, and relationships.
There are those that feverishly chase these conditions and upon the glimpse of experiencing them attempt to hoard the situation only to see it fade away.
All that is good exists in motion. The pleasurable conditions of life are for sharing and being moved around. They increase exponentially with each life they touch.
To experience anything we must share it with others. Generosity is the key to increase , while hoarding and squirreling away will only result in diminished impact.
Be free with all you have and you will always have much.
Being reluctant to part with anything is a scarcity mentality who’s is rooted in fear and always keeps us wanting.
A life of WANT is not fulfilling.
Give it away, pass it around, SHARE WITHOUT CARE!

All I Need

I really like this quote from TS Eliot. It seems to sum up a well rounded, full life with all its splendor yet maintaining simplicity.
Doing the useful thing: This emphasizes the importance of action that benefits oneself and others. It implies contributing positively to the world through work, service, or other forms of productive engagement.
Saying the courageous thing: This highlights the importance of speaking one’s mind, especially in situations where it requires bravery, like standing up for oneself or others, expressing unpopular but truthful opinions, or challenging the status quo when necessary.
Contemplating the beautiful thing: This referenced the value of appreciating and reflecting on beauty in its various forms, whether in art, nature, relationships, or moments of everyday life, enriching one’s inner experience.
A small bit of all the important aspects of life builds character and fulfillment.
It all we need and what we should all aspire to.

Easy carry

Look out your window. Turn on the news. Scan faces around you while in traffic.
So many look angry, afraid, stressed. We do not see as many smiles as we should considering all we have to be joyful over.
Those frowns are all holding in some sort of discomfort and distress.
What came first?
Try smiling more and see if the feelings and thoughts change to match the face.
Smiles bring joy which is easier to carry than grief.

Impediment to Betterment

Procrastination is the biggest thief of progress. No matter how worthwhile our intentions, Noble, our plans, or beneficial our vision of our greatest self could be, it will never be: tomorrow.
Until we become habitual actors upon intention, nothing will ever change.
Today, now, as we think of it, is the time to take actions that are productive.
As long as we feel, we say; “TOMORROW“, with conviction we give ourselves permission to feel good in the moment. That moment, however, is appoint in time that we are accepting ourselves to be less than we know we can be. A crutch of tomorrow is the impediment of betterment.
There is no tomorrow every single day when you wake up look at the sun that it’s your watch and your calendar. You will realize that it is today. It is never tomorrow.

What did you say?

We watch the news. We read papers and magazines. We scroll social media and the internet. We watch TV and movies. We have communication at work both social and work related. We take courses. We engage in idle rhetoric with acquaintances and strangers.
We read books to improve ourselves, and read posts like this one. We have meaningful conversations with family and friends both giving and taking advice. Podcasts and videos are sometimes favorite past times also.
All of these words are being digested by our minds. Once we hear, read or even write them they are forever a part of our world.
What do they mean? Will they change us? Do they all have an impact? Will any of it mean anything?
NOTHING, NO, NO,NO!
The only words of consequence are those we repeat in our head. They may have come from our exposure but until we replay them, seemingly in our own voice, and give them attention coupled with emotion they are no more than scenery passing by.
The conversations we have with ourselves are the lessons we learn, directions we turn, and changes we make.
WHAT ARE YOU SAYING TO YOU TODAY?

Keep it Real

The Stoic Philosopher Seneca said that we suffer more in our imagination than we ever do in reality.
Real true suffering is grief and mourning following the loss of life, or financial, health and relationship crisis’. We all face such pain. Most work on moving on and recovering. We wear our resilience as a badge of honor. Such suffering can be devastating but is usually a challenge of our fortitude and resolve.
The pain from WORRY however, is often unmanageable and inconsolable. You see it is all imaginary and left to our ability to project outcomes. We tend to fear the worst and it usually never comes to pass, or at least nowhere near as brutal as our expectation. By living with the uncertainty, as opposed to the definitive outcome of grief, we allow the perceived impact to increase exponentially until we have a fixed result. Our mind and emotions not able to discern fiction from reality; we suffer needlessly at the behest of our imagination.
When facing difficulties it is always best to plan for the best outcome we can imagine and avoid such unnecessary struggles.

Less is more

Life is most flavorful when consumed in moderation. All things in manageable quantities are less stressful. Our incessant need for consuming and compiling everything we see leads to anxiety robbing us of the joy of every experience.
To be satisfied with small tastes of many things over mass consumption will allow peace and gratitude to cloak our experience rather than impatient expectations for what’s next or how to get more.
Less is more!

Daily Choice

The level of remuneration we receive from the universe (financial, emotional, spiritual and intellectual) is directly related to the strength of the impact we have on life,(social, emotional, career).
When our actions serve others from an authentic desire to make a difference, the rewards we experience exceed our expectations. We tend to get more than we give.
The flavor and magnificence of our experience is hightened by the obstacles and challenges we faced as we prepared our gifts for the giving.
CONVERSELY:
Anger, hate, greed, selfishness, dependence, judgment and fear given freely will also repay us in kind. Just as taking easy way out, shortcuts and following the crowd will never deliver satisfaction of any sort; only more animosity and desire.
WHICH WILL YOU CHOOSE TODAY!
