Personal Improvement
Careful what you pray for,,,,,,
So many of us are seeking happiness and joy through the fulfillment of our desires. Unfortunately those that are are seriously on The Journey Into Self, quickly uncover the” truth of contradiction”. To find happiness, we must first be happy!. No outside circumstance, no matter how much we desire it, will bring happiness and joy to us. Our joy and happiness will create the conditions we seem to think will be responsible for them.
It is enlightening yet labor intensive when you come to the realization that conditions do not create happiness, HAPPINESS is a choice, and when achieved, all conditions thrive through it.
The vast majority of us are attempting to create the perfect conditions, ( at the expense of our happiness) to bring us happiness. I call it the “Bass- Ackward” syndrome!
The endeavor to choose happiness as a way of life in the face of lack, need, grief, and pain, is the most difficult obstacle to navigate along the Journey of Self Discovery. WE must be able to separate ourselves from our desires, focus only upon the journey and not the destination, release all attachment to outcome and live for the very sake of living. Then, and only then, we will see the manifestation of our desires.
The dichotomy of life is “You have to release it to receive it, give it away to keep keep it, and not care about it to create it.
I am on that roller coaster ride daily. Here in “The Garden of Knowing” it is a blessing and a curse to have seen behind the curtain. My search for self has me at times ambiguous about my resolve. I vacillate almost daily between steadfast determination, and indifference, releasing and holding on, being grateful and damning the cosmos, dwelling on only positive outcomes, and lamenting the lack there of.
Yes, life IS a contradiction. To find true happiness, you first must BE happy. The conditions we tirelessly attempt to manipulate, hoping they will open the door to our much sought after dose of peace, tend to align with no effort AFTER we have chosen peace regardless of situation.
This is a monumental TRUTH of which we have have uncovered, and a quantum leap forward in the Journey Into Self, but bittersweet it is. Much easier said than done, at times,almost a curse to have uncovered.
Be careful what you pray for,,,,,,you just might get it!

SWITCHBACKS
SWITCHBACKS
I ride motorcycles. I have for years. I love it, it allows me to get away and clear my head. I am fairly conservative though. Have you ever noticed how the most experienced riders prefer the difficult roads? Tight turns, steep inclines, narrow bridges and of course; vicious switchbacks, are the spice that gives flavor to an afternoon jaunt. If your purpose is transportation to a destination, you may be inclined to opt for the easy, straight run. Anyone out to really “RIDE” knows what I am talking about. REAL FLAVOR, 5-ALARM CHILI FLAVOR.
The same goes for sports, gambling, and a myriad of life’s conditions that when conquered, offer tremendous satisfaction. The greater the obstacle is, the more satisfaction we derive from overcoming it. The more fantastic the challenge, the stronger the lesson is etched in our minds. Growth comes from our triumphs.

So why then do we lament over the day-to-day challenges and whine about our routine set-backs, referring to much of life as wrought with problems? No one ever said life was supposed to be easy. At least I never read that anywhere. Don’t get me wrong here; I’m not claiming we all need to struggle to enjoy life, nor would I wish calamity upon anyone, but you have to admit, some of the strongest people you know are those that have weathered the mightiest storms.
Challenges faced with assuredness and faith, attacked head-on with firm resolve and focus are often the seed of much fruit and produce an endless bounty of reward that resonates exponentially from the core of our being. He who navigates the switchbacks of life with grace and humility, emerges greater than he entered. Embrace the adversity of life with your eyes on growth, gratitude for the challenge and love in your heart and you will know peace in your day that few will understand!
As we recover from a debilitating, destructive storm that has devastated many lives, then a follow-up nor’easter that rubbed salt in our wounds, only to weather a controversial election with emotions high and the future uncertain, keep your eyes fixed on the opportunity to grow emotionally, spiritually, politically and personally. What does not kill us, will make us stronger. The road ahead is ripe with lessons and primed for achievement. Carpe’ diem !

THE JOURNEY IS THE DESTINATION
Not easy,But not wrong!
I have been spewing information and advice about finding Spiritual Truth, Peace and Joy for many years now. I believe completely in everything I have ever written. I have a solid, intellectual understanding of the mechanism of creation, as well as the Man-God connection, and the expansion of the Universe and unfolding of God-In-Form. It is all clear as a bell and makes perfect sense. My understanding and philosophy answers every question I have ever had about life. I have also found dozens of New Testament verses, Buddhist texts and thousands of philosophers, authors and poets alive and past that corroborate the view I hold of reality. Yet there are times that I feel like a poser, or impostor as the advice and suggestions I put out there are not always working for me.
For those that may not have read what I write before, I am a staunch , proponent of “The Law of Attraction”- Faith- Oneness- Unity Consciousnesses and so on. My personal theology is that ALL THINGS ARE ONE THING AND THAT IS GOD—-I AM! Life is ONE DIVINE POWER experiencing itself in an unlimited, never ending dance of change. God is having a schizophrenic experience and everything we encounter is another representation of The One, taking on unique form determined by the diverse combination of variables perceived by the experiencing perspective. As such, thought, feeling, awareness, and belief, causes energy ( God) to vibrate into form and matter based upon the belief of the particular extension of Divine Awareness.
The Book ” The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne, blew the lid off this age old understanding and took it mainstream. However, the tenets put forth in that text claim, “believe and you will receive”. Millions have embraced the philosophy to no avail.
Jesus Christ taught us: “As you sow, so shall you reap”/ Faith of a mustard seed can move mountains”. With God all things are possible.
Philosophers and authors through out the ages have written ” As a man thinketh, so shall he be”.
These and thousands of other writings validate the fact that we create our reality with our belief. What we focus on with our minds, becomes real in our lives. The most prevalent thought/ belief/convictions we hold onto are reality “In-Formation”
So why then are so many struggling? How can millions be purposely creating lives of grief and pain? Once we understand that we are The Master Creator, designing the components of our lives and writing the script to our story, we should all live lives of blissful Joy, no?
Naysayers claim that these perspectives are “whoey”. Not true!
Earlier I admitted that since I am not overwhelmingly rich, drop dead handsome, as fit as a teenage age gymnast, living a life of endless joy and peace, that I feel like a hypocrite. I have long been planning to write a book on this subject, but due to the lack of my ability to manifest my desires, I have not, fearing I be labeled a fraud.
Well today I am ready to admit, that as true as these Laws Of Life are, they are not so easy to accomplish. However, we accomplish them non the less, with out being aware. There is no way around the Law. “As you believe, so you receive” UNAVOIDABLE TRUTH- NO WAY AROUND IT-HAPPENING ALL THE TIME!
The problem lies with the word “Believe” We can “Believe” superficially with our minds, but still not have an unequivocal “Knowing as truth”, and that is what stops us.
If I told you that dumping a bucket of water on your head would make you wet, you would have no problem believing that. Then when I do it, you’ll get soaked. If I told you that I discovered a new form of water that was DRY, but it looked the same, and told you I was going to dump it on you and you would not get wet, you may claim, ” Oh that is great, go ahead” But your entire life experience has solidified the fact that water will wet you, so you do not KNOW that you will be dry at the center of your being. You may believe me, as I had no reason to lie. You probably are Hoping, I am right. When I wind up to toss the bucket, you may be affirming “I will stay dry” over and over, but the FEELINGS, you will have at your core, will be bracing for a wet one! Hence you will get wet.
It turns out that intellectual belief, and Spiritual Knowing are not mutually exclusive. Believing in our minds does not alter are inner feeling and true sense of expectation. Since ALL THAT IS, GOD, SOURCE, INFINITE AWARENESS, is formless and beyond perception, matter can only be manifest by manipulating energy. Emotion “E-Motion” is energy in motion, and is the determining factor behind LIFE IN FORMATION.
The Raw Material is GOD ( formless energy, unlimited possibility, pure potential) waiting to be molded by the vibrations of each extension of reality. That vibration is ‘FEELINGS” We need to “FEEL THE WISH FULFILLED”- (Nevell Goddard) not just” Believe”. Jesus taught us to pray as though our prayers have already been answered and so they shall. Therin lies the rub!
How do we feel prosperous and abundant in the face of mounting debt and poverty.
How can I feel healthy and fit when I eat like a pig and refuse to exercise, and have gotten a dire diagnosis from my doctor?
Is it possible to feel successful after losing my job, and alienating my friends?
Can I feel peace and joy when all of my family is struggling and fighting, and the TV and internet has noting but bad news and negativity?
This is the problem. We try, we affirm, we meditate, and act as if, but the feelings are not congruent with the desires, and the “supposed” belief. So it is not this stuff does not work, IT ABSOLUTELY DOES. I for one will attest that although my life is not synchronous with my desires, it is definitely an 
accurate representation of my inner convictions and feelings. What you see, is what I feel.
We have been programmed with thousands of years of input convincing us of our limitation and restriction that a few affirmations even if coupled with a boat-load of desire, is not going to undo the negative program. The path is multifaceted, and unwavering. We need to completely eliminate negativity from our minds and focus ONLY ON OUR DESIRED RESULT, NOT WHAT CAUSED THE DESIRE. Faith needs to built like muscles, start out slow and gradually increase. The feeling/ vibration needed to manifest our true desire is joy accompanied with the subject matter.

- FOCUS ON DEFEAT
- QUESTION YOUR ABILITY
- COMPARE TO OTHERS THAT HAVE FAILED
- BECOME DISCOURAGED
- ENTERTAIN THE NAYSAYERS
- THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU DO NOT WANT
- DWELL ON THE CAUSE OF THE DESIRE
- DOUBT
- WORRY
ALWAYS:
- BE POSITIVE
- HAVE GRATITUDE FOR WHAT IS
- SURROUND YOURSELF WITH OTHERS THAT ARE POSITIVE
- MEDITATE
- READ INSPIRING MATERIAL
- REACH FOR A BETTER FEELING THOUGHT
- FIND SOME REASON TO SMILE WHEN DREAD LOOMS NEAR- FOCUS ON THAT.
IF YOU WISH TO WIN THE LOTTERY, YOU NEED TO WALK AROUND FEELING LIKE SOMEONE THAT WINS THE LOTTERY.
If your desire is health, you need to FEEL HEALTHY FIRST, then your health will improve.
If you wish to find a loving mate, you need to feel love for yourself, and content where you are.
Look around, those whose lives are miserable, have very poor attitudes and 
are always spreading the negativity around. You may have previously though they were justified as their lives were so awful. Well: The chicken and egg paradigm fits here, or the cart before the horse saying. Those miserable people have grief because they have negative attitudes and do not expect any more than what they have. They may WANT MORE, but they do not REALLY FEEL as though it is possible.
Sick folk are sick because they believe they are, victims are victimized because they feared becoming victims. Lonely people do not have love, because they do not FEEL love.
IT IS NO EASY TASK THIS FEELING THING. I will continue to plug away at it as I know, what I see before me has come from within me, and only I can change that.
Am I a fraud? I think not! My life is a prime example of: AS A MAN THINKETH, SO SHALL HE BE. So I continue.

Perspective
The way we process what we encounter determines the tone of the situation. There is actually no good/bad- right/wrong until these “Judgments” are assigned by the perceiver. One could say all the ills of the world only exist in the mind of the beholder. There are so many ways to view everything, so many opinions, so many spins on what we encounter that the line between good and bad is fluid and subjective. One mans junk is another mans treasure, and so on.
In The Bible Jesus instructs us: Matt 7: 1 Judge not lest ye be judged 2. For with what judgement ye judge, ye will be judged.
Simply put; by assigning a relative position to actions or situations, those assignments become factors in our lives. It is better to view all encounters as merely being components of our experience and take from them whatever nourishing lessons are held within. There is truly something to be said for looking at the world through “ROSE COLORED GLASSES”

With a positive outlook and love in your heart there is no need to live in a hostile world. The flavor of our life experience is completely defined by how we choose to interpret our encounters. All tragedy, catastrophe, abomination, perceived EVIL, has within it an opportunity for love, compassion, growth, and unity. We need to put on our Rose Glasses to see it!
As thinking beings we design the world we see with our thoughts and convictions. Our emotions emit vibrations that manipulate energy and either create, or draw to us conditions that match our vibration. That is why people that are always complaining, always negative, seeing the boogeyman behind every bush live lives filled with pain, grief, suffering and torment. Those positive individuals that are gifted at making LEMONADE, always appear to “get all the breaks”. That is not so! We all could be “Getting all the breaks” should we choose to see the benefit in everything.
Being the creative extensions of DIVINITY in form, we are the architects of reality. The cutsie little sayings, metaphors and aphorisms about positive living are not benign little sayings they are the LAWS OF LIFE! We are creating our individual experiences, as well as our collective ones. What we call reality is a compilation of the collaborative thoughts, beliefs, convictions, and emotions of all humanity unfolding on the canvass of our awareness as the artwork of GOD!
LIFE IS THE EXPANSION OF GOD IN FORM, DIRECTED BY THE HAND OF THE COLLECTIVE INDIVIDUATED REPRESENTATIONS OF DIVINE AWARENESS.
Choose wisely. Choose peace. Choose Love, and that is what the world you encounter shall be!

Squeezing Apples won’t get Orange Juice!!
Everyone seems to know that squeezing an apple will get you apple juice. For those of us that want orange juice, we must squeeze an orange. This sounds so simple. So is life.

As we navigate through life, dodging the challenges we perceive have been thrust upon us (although we attracted them with our focus) we tend to lament over that which we do not find desirable, as if looking at it will send it away. “Au contraire” The more we dwell on our obstacles, the longer they block our destiny.
The Law of Attraction, or Law of Life, or Law of Focus is such that our minds manipulate the unified field of matter and The Universe conspires to fashion into form that which we concentrate on. SO:

The only true way to live our lives according to our desires is to focus upon only the desired outcome, not the catalyst for the desire:
Sick- focus, visualize, and feel wellness
Broke- Focus, visualize and feel abundance
Lonely- Focus. visualize, and feel LOVE
Overweight- Focus, visualize, and feel fitness.
Make these the points of focus and take action according to one that is living the result. DO IT NOW!
Planning for the future, reliving the past will keep the Present in Escrow!. NOW is when we live.
Life is created through us, not thrust upon us. Our thoughts, continued with conviction, create emotional ( e-motion= energy in motion) feelings. These feelings manipulate matter to create form and substance. ( The Universe conspires to create our desires) . This is the Genie in the bottle granting your every wish. The Only tangible canvass to paint the picture of our experiences on is NOW. Life is THE PRESENT MOMENT. In the realm of the Absolute ( Divine Awareness) Time does not exist. Time is only a construct of the limited ego mind, to have measurable points of focus with which to experience our creations.
“Now is the Present (gift) that we have been given to create our reality. Now is the Pre-sent Moment, with which we can present the fruit of our talents to Humanity. THERE IS ONLY NOW, ALL OTHER IS MERELY A CONCEPT, OR A THOUGHT. IT IS ALWAYS NOW!”
To live the lives we desire, we need to focus upon only our desired outcomes, in the present moment, and take actions accordingly. Then, and only then, will we experience our bliss!

Greener Grass
Some may think our incessant drive for “more”, always thinking what others have is better, is selfish, and glutinous. Well, it’s not! Had the Divine Creator, fashioned these “extensions of Divinity” in such a way that satisfaction was the norm, nothing would have ever been created.
Some say God lives vicariously through (his) creations. If that is true, then the “MASTER INTENT”- THE DIVINE DESIGN, would be to stimulate the widest range of possibilities, maximum Diversity of conditions, and limitless possibility, in order to have the fullest “GOD EXPERIENCE”!

We have a never ending drive for more, better, bigger, easier, that what we have now. Man is never satisfied.
We draw things to ourselves, manipulate them, and produce something new. New relationships, new products, , new conditions, etc. Then just when we think we have landed the big fish that wil allow us to stop our search, BAM- we see something else we want! Will it ever stop!
NO- I HOPE IT NEVER DOES. “The beauty in life lies within the diversity.” ~JR~
You see God has replicated ITSELF in an unlimited number of ways, each new variation living behind a shroud of illusory separation, feeling a bit disconnected. The drive we have for MORE, is the draw of all of Gods Pieces unto themselves.
The inward draw of things toward one another is the most powerful force in the universe; we call it LOVE
Just like HUMPTY DUMPTY! The theme of life is ALL THE KINGS HORSES AND ALL THE KINGS MEN, ARE TRYING TO PUT HUMPTY TOGETHER AGAIN.

FEAR
WE are not “drawn in” to the world we experience as a VICTIM! The dance we are confronted with is born out of the song in our head. If we focus on all the possible conditions that could bring us harm; we will attract or create those conditions. Fear is nothing more than a negative thought focussed upon with conviction.
So many of us live lives of quiet desperation, always in our head, looking out from behind the blinds for the BOGEYMAN, that never arrives.
THE FEAR OF THE BOGEYMAN, BECOMES THE BOGEYMAN!
First of all; If something awful is going to happen, fearing and worrying over it will not help matters, nor will it prevent it.
Secondly, if Fear and worry of thing is prolonged and the condition never manifests, we have ruined our life living with the illusion of possiblity.
So you see, there is no virtuous reason for fear, all it does is destroys dreams, and entire lives.

As we devote time, energy and emotion into entertaining the possibility of things going awry, those with faith are living their dreams! CHOICE! IT IS ALL ABOUT CHOICE! LIFE IS VICTIM-LESS, WE ALL CHOOSE!

CHANGE re-dux
We hear a lot about change these days. No wonder, the world we have created is surely not pleasant for many of us. We must change our Government structures, change our economic standards, change how we related to one another, and change our perspective on life. Or NOT!
Whether the world and humanity are in peril, or bliss is all about perspective. Choice, free will and perspective colors all experience. “FLOWER-WEED”; PERSPECTIVE! PRETTY- HOMELY: PERSPECTIVE! GOOD-BAD: PERSPECTIVE!
There are no absolutes. We all define our own experience according to our unique perspective. That being said; IS change necessary? ONLY IF WHAT OUR PERSPECTIVE TELLS US WE ARE EXPERIENCING DOES NOT BRING US JOY!
The Power & Source of “ALL THAT IS” has fashioned this synchronous dance of creation in such a manner that the ONLY CONSTANT IS CHANGE! Truth is, everything is always changing, and change is all that remains the same.
There is no need to do anything if you do not wish. Even if your experience and actions are creating pain, they are part of the process of growth and renewal. All we need to understand is that everything we experience we have summoned to our realty through our own focus. Any prevalent conditions that bring pain are also bringing lessons, opportunity, and insight. It is all part of the plan. Should your present moment encounters be less than joyful, then you may want to entertain change as a new endeavor. Caution however, we cannot change anything that is outside of our self, we can only change ourselves and how we experience what we encounter.
If Joy is not your state of mind, and Joy is what you seek:

There was a time not long ago, I gave up all control
It wasn’t want I wanted though, life just took it’s toll
I was young and knew it all, I had my bag of tricks
Booze & drugs I had a ball, I lived life for the kicks
But nothing seemed to go my way, I never got ahead
A different problem everyday, hated getting out of bed
Soon my mirrors were covered up, my name drew stares and sighs
The fool was what came from my cup, Wouldn’t look folks in the eyes
Kept losing jobs and girlfriends, no one returned my calls
Relationships I could not mend, Imprisoned by my own walls
I’d hear the quiet laughter, it was circling all around
When I walked into the room, no one made a single sound
Jack Daniels and his brother Bud, had control of my useless days
I could not admit I lived in the mud, I denied my wicked ways.
The indignity of self hate , was the tenant of my life
The end was near I couldn’t wait, my own hand and a knife
Then all at once they pried my hand, from directing my darkened soul
They told me things would be so grand, if I gave up all control
I stopped the fight & turned it over, their words were songs to me
They listened, talked , they ‘d watch & hover, as success was what I’d see
It’s been many years, and many tears, and I now have full control
There’s no more beers, and no more jeers, I finally feel whole
I give it up to keep it, let go to hang on tight
Now life is full I reap it, no longer do I fight.
I like what’s in the mirror now, No longer losing friends
One day at a time is really how, the party never ends.
