When we have a negative encounter with another and allow it to consume our thinking for hours or days afterward, we have compromised our peace and given
control of our life to that individual who in most cases has no idea the extent of their impact on us.
Repeatedly allowing this to occur is a life out of our own control It becomes very difficult to feel joyful when our feelings are determined by forces we have no control over.
Our actions, performance, behavior and treatment of others will degrade as we spiral downward into grief and stress.
