Chicken or egg

All the theories and advocates of positive thinking teach us that our thoughts control our reality.
I do believe that, but what is more important is that our feelings, our emotions, our attitude, and expectation is what drives the manifestation of condition and experience in our life. This means we’re faced with a “ what comes first the chicken or the egg” situation
Do our thoughts, drive our feelings, or do our feelings drive our thoughts?
I would assume that continually thinking negative thoughts will create negative emotion which in turn will manifest negative conditions.
I have always wondered, however, what causes a staunch advocate of positive thinking have a mind filled with negative thoughts.
There’s obviously exposure to the external world. The sights we see the stories we hear the news that’s broadcasting and the rhetoric on social media. They all have an impact on our feelings and thoughts.
A really great news is that whatever the catalyst for the negativity we have at any moment the opportunity and power to change the thought and the feeling. The feeling will change with continued thought of conditions that create better feeling.
There is no dog to pet or a tree to hug or no beautiful river, lake, stream,or sunrise to create that joy. You always have the opportunity to recall past joyful experiences.
Feeling good is the seed for all desirable experience. Well thoughts will randomly come into our mind just having them will not cause us to experience the associated feeling unless we choose to focus on them, entertain them, and own them.
With all conditions of life we have choice. You are the master creator. Be it, do it, own it.
