
Many of us living joyful lives filled with love, community, service and productivity never experience the joy as the result of living in our mind worrying and projecting doom and gloom that never happens.
- The mind cannot differentiate between repeated thoughts and actual experience.
- The body will create cortisol and keep the nervous system in fight or flight based on thoughts and feelings not actual experience.
- Cortisol and adrenaline may keep us safe from harm but causes inflammation, digestion issues and difficulty sleeping.
- Ambition, love, and compassion is difficult to sustain in high stress condition.
- Living with the mind on the future conditions makes it impossible to experience the present moment of NOW,(it is ALWAYS now).
- Repeatedly ruminating and projecting the “other shoe dropping” will in fact manufacture causal conditions for it to happen. (We create our own nightmares).
The work around is to stay mindful of present moment awareness and fill the mind with gratitude for WHAT IS!
Fill the mind with inspiration, motivation and positivity. (Many say positive thinking is temporary and never lasts, but haircuts, bathing, eating, and sleeping are also temporary which is why we repeat them DAILY).
We always suffer more in our head than conditions require and it is self-inflicted.
Only I can change this.
Changing my mind will change my experience in this life.
Intentional thinking is paramount to joyful living.
