Allowing oneself to be blown about by the wind, and “go with the flow“ seems attractive and popular these days. One might think how open and accepting a way of life this could be.
The truth of being this malleable is that we often end up lost at sea, void of direction and aim, often unable to find our way.
Excepting those things we cannot change is wisdom. Living a life of non-resistance is also advisable. But navigating the waters of this existence without aim direction, purpose or intention is a recipe for disaster.
INTENTIONAL LIVING requires having an intention, which means direction and an aim.
Failing to live in the present robs us of authentic life experience. We need not to live with our mind, focused on the future, but occasional glance to see where we are going is highly recommended.
