I told Martin he looked foolish today.
He chuckled knowing I have no fashion sense at all.
I told Louise she looked foolish today.
She rolled her eyes realizing I can be obnoxious at times.
I told Manny he looked foolish today.
He replied that I look foolish every day and laughed at me.
I told Theresa she looked foolish today.
She showed me her middle finger with a scowl on her face and a coworker gave her a high five.
I told Gregor he looked foolish today.
He went to his desk looking quite upset. Ran to the men’s room to look in the mirror. He came back out obviously shaken. He made a few call then told the boss he had to leave for the day.
Was it me that upset him?
Why didn’t the very same greeting upset the others?
Gregor is attached to the opinion of others and has given control of his emotions away. He will kindly spend the day with me in his every thought. He will buy new clothes and get his haircut. He will attempt to impress or avoid me.
I OWN HIM NOW.
“One of the highest places you can get to is being independent of the good opinions of other people.” ~Wayne Dyer~
Own your own.
