Most development programs and self help organizations advocate the setting of goals. Most of us have dreams, desires, plans and intentions. These are all fantastic tools with which we should guide ourselves, determine direction and plan actions.
What we need to be wary of is the tenacity and zeal we employ.
While goals and dreams are the catalyst for growth and improvement, becoming dependent upon achieving them as our means to happiness and joy will limit us.
Happiness is independent of condition and external impact.
Once we have a strong need for ANYTHING, it has a stranglehold on us and controls our lives leaving us joyless.
Realize joy and contentment as we move toward our goals.
Use gratitude for the opportunity and ability to be creative, regardless of outcome and the joy will produce the desired result.
As soon as we move toward our goals while no longer NEEDING them, the process will be much less stressful.
