Not the pitch.

At times when we feel our life is not going according to plan it is easy to blame conditions.
Some of us may think we were born on the wrong side of the tracks. There may be this underlying feeling that our heritage, ethnicity, economic, upbringing, or family has had an impact on the life we experience.
And more often than not, even while living a charmed life, it may be challenges and road blocks we encounter that challenge us beyond our comfort level, causing disappointment and distress. In all of these situations, we find the opportunity to defer responsibility for outcomes to the condition.
“Life is just handed me lemons“.
“I’ve been dealt a bad hand“.
When we take a look at the game of baseball, the outcome of the game is not determined by the quality of the pitch, but the quality of the swing. What I’m trying to say is it is not what is coming at us that is important but how we react to it and treat it. A batter can take the wildest pitch and reach across the plate and get a great hit, or let the perfect pitch go by for a strike. So this tells you that the outcome is based upon the reaction, not the condition.
The inventor of Play-Doh was trying to create glue and continuously failed.
He could’ve just walked away, but he took the hand he was dealt and found something useful to do with it.
Success comes to us in all endeavors when we take responsibility for our swing and refrain from blaming the world for our results.
Swing for the fences!
