Good fit

We all set about our day to “make a living” to provide shelter, safety, comfort and security for ourselves and our families. We certainly feel satisfied when we receive our remuneration and realize it is sufficient to meet our obligations.
But are we fulfilled? Does the work itself offer satisfaction, or is it just something we do to get money?
We all know when we are laboring at our favorite hobby, or helping friends, neighbors or the community, and noticing that what we are doing is having a positive impact on others we feel notably light and joyful.
This emotional boost is the validation that we are in our “groove”, we have found our purpose, the sweet spot of life where our talent meets a need in the world and the fullness we enjoy transcends the paycheck.
This then is how we should be making our living and it will never be considered work again.
