Johnny Lee wrote a song in 1980 named “Looking for love” the opening line is looking for love in all the wrong places.
Sadly this line is very relevant to humanities endless search for Love, Peace, Joy & contentment. We hope that some “thing” condition, person, job, bank account figure, scale reading, place or accomplishment will materialize to give us the feeling of self satisfaction we so desperately need.
It’s like if we tied a carrot to a stick and fastened it to our shoulder so it is just out of reach, then we run after it. It never gets closer, we grow weary, hopelessness overtakes us and we spiral into despair.
All along, the magic we sought was residing within us. We have had the music playing since birth. Self love and the realization of the Unity of all things is the combination to the lock that opens the door to Grace.
Peace begins with acceptance and gratitude that leads to unconditional, universal love pouring out.
As our soul empties onto humanity, everything we could ever desire rushes in.
Stop chasing the stick. Sit still and open your heart. Love yourself and the world will be your playground.
