Inside Out!

From Which

By John Rodgers

At times my ponder strays and toils , to answer riddles boldly veiled

The thought apparent lies within, the point from which all knowing hailed

Upon my vigilant query’s aim,

the starting place creation came

My fix is solid, tried and true, no rest upon this cross was nailed

The truth I seebefore me stretched ,is known of course as life and love

Events and tides will ebb and flow, have they been mine or from above

The birth of all I see and feel,

may be imagined, or by chance be real

Should providence soaptly choose to please, these musings fit just like a glove

The point from which events were born, may have been within my mind

Yet all I see and seem to know, lies within creation of greater kind

Has Deity itself
imposed this world

or have  my selfish thoughts unfurled

This is the question causing strife as answers lie in stealth to find

My world and such I see and feel are creation from thought that’s true

Is mind a place where all thoughts dwell, or many a separate avenue

Has this life been thrust on me by chance

or have I created with every glance

The victim’s mask I shall not wear, with waking moments I once knew

If love and life has been my choice I boldly ventured to this place

Fate yields not my visions quest, for I create with ease and grace

The working of this world I see,

in fact has been produced by me

The point from which this life was born, brings light to shine about my face
